Transforming the lives of children through dedicated pediatric visual impairment support in Louisiana, SEE VI equips their entire support system, including parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals, with critical training, resources, and knowledge for all visual conditions, including Cerebral/Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI).

Eric Guillory
As a certified TVI with nearly three decades of experience and a lifetime of lived expertise as someone born blind, Eric Guillory leads SEE VI as Interim Executive Director to advance educational equity and accessibility across Louisiana. He works in concert with our board, educators, and families to equip students with the tools, skills, and high expectations they need to thrive.

October 2026 Milestone: Visual Impairments 101

SEE VI partnered with Community School in Shreveport to deliver comprehensive training on state vision mandates, screening protocols, referral pathways, and functional vision assessment (FVA) frameworks. By training school nurses, evaluation coordinators, therapists, and district staff under one unified framework, we ensure early vision identification leads straight to meaningful classroom accommodations.
